Giverny + Versailles
My husband and are were thinking of taking a day trip from Paris and visiting Monet's gardens in Giverny and also visiting Versailles. Is this doable in a day?
We were thinking of renting a car for this so that we could be on our own time schedule.
Does anyone have any experience or advice with this?

You could but not sure why you'd want to. Both are easily accessible by train, both locations are made to be enjoyed, I believe, in a leisurely way and to try to see them both I don't think would be doing either justice. I suggest if you only have a day chose one and save the other for next time.

I recommend them as separate day trips but here's a link to a thread where the same question was asked and all the various options were discussed (taking a bus tour or doing it on their own). The OP concluded it was best to do these as separate day trips. Here is a link to that thread:
