Girona vs. Barcelona Airport

Does anyone know either the distance and/or time it would take to get from the main Barcelona Airport to Girona Airport? Arriving from LAX but need to make a Ryan Air flight leaving out of Girona to Dublin. Thank you!

We just returned from Europe and stayed in Barcelona, hired a large taxi (there were 5 of us plus luggage)to get to Girona airport also using Ryan air to get to Paris beauvais airport. The cost was 170Euros for all 5 and took about an hour. Our flight was early 6:50am left Barcelona at 4:20am arriving about 5:30am at girona airport. Hope this helps.

i certainly hope 1) your flight is not delayed
2) that you have left several hours between flights. a bit risky to have to go ( by public transport??) to girona from barcelona. The barcelona airport is about 15-20 minutes further than if you were in barcelona.

the traffic once people are on way to work can be heavy in the mornings (not somuch at 4:20 like previous poster).

Good luck. On public transport you will need a couple hours.

Forgot to say that depending on your flight time I believe there is a train to Girona and then take a taxi from train station. This was not an option for us given our early flight time.

Sorry just remembered it's a bus that coordinates its schedule with ryan air but with no guarantee of arriving on time due to traffic delays so give yourself plenty of time. I think info is was on the ryan air sight.
