GETTING T EUROPE: TRYING TO BOOK A PLANE WITH TRIP
I'M BACKPACKING THROUGH EUROPE BUT THOUGHT I'D ADD ON A TRIP IN THE BEGINNING OR END BECAUSE PLANE FARES ARE SO HIGH ANYWAYS: LOOKING TO FLY INTO ONE CITY AND OUT ANOTHER - ANY THOUGHTS?

This is probably a good idea. Don't know what you are planning but as an example you could fly into Frankfurt and then from Paris back home. That would save you the time and money of returning all the way to Frankfurt.
Normally, the airfare is usually half the RT fare to fly into both cities. So if it cost $800 to fly RT to Frankfurt and $900 to fly RT to Paris, you could expect to pay around $850 for the Frankfurt/Paris RT.

Super cheap. Note bagage restrictions -- they charge extra for everything but if you're travelling light, it's really inexpensive -- sometimes less than trains.

Hi J,
Please turn off your caps key. It makes it hard to read.
From whence are you starting?
From where are you departing.
Where are you going in between?
Flying into one city and out another is called "open-jaw". Airfare is often no different from a RT.
