Getting From Positano to Almalfi, Ravello and Capri

Please help...

I was going to hire a driver to take us from Postiano to Almalfi and Ravello but it is much more than I wanted to spend....

How can I get there on my own? Assuming public busses?

Take the ferry to Amalfi (5 Euros each way) and then either the bus (1 Euro but can be extremely crowded) or taxi (~25 Euros) up to Ravello.

You can also take the bus from Positano to Amalfi then change to the Ravello bus or take the taxi.

Catch the Postiano to Amalfi bus up on the main road through Positano (not the one way road that goes to the beach area)

Take the boat or SITA bus ( I much prefer the boat!!) to Amalfi, then take a bus from Amalfi ( or cab, if you find one) to Ravello.

The bus is very simple from Positano to Amalfi. Then a simple change to get up to Ravello. Don't be afraid! Short and sweet.

In April you should have no trouble hopping on the bus up to Ravello at the bus stop in Amalfi. If it were summer you would have to beat old women, children, and burly men out of your way to squeeze a 'standing under someone's smelly armpit' spot on the bus. AND don't think for a minute that since you were the first one at the bus stop that you will get a place on the bus. The Italians will kick your a** to get on that bus and you can be left at the bus stop with nothing but bus fumes up your nose.....Been there, done that, doing it again in 3 months! Teehee.

Hi L,

You can take the SITA bus to see the glorious views of the ocean from the hills, or you can take the ferry to see the glorious views of the mountains from the ocean.

I suggest the ferry out and the bus back.
