In Barcelona, Spain, how do I get from the airport to the port to catch a cruise ship? How long does it take? What are my options? How much will it cost? <BR> <BR>On the way back, what's the best way to get from the port back to the airport? <BR> <BR>Also, can anyone recommend a nice hotel priced no more that $120 near the airport? <BR> <BR>Thanks for your help. <BR>

Hi Nancy, I'm just curious how you ended up doing the transfers. We are taking a <BR>Princess cruise in July that ends in Barcelona. The cruise line wants to charge $50.00 <BR>(for 2 of us) for their transfers. We have a 12:30pm flight out and since it is a huge <BR>ship (2600 pax) I don't know whether it may just be simpler and less worry to hop <BR>on their buses.

I am going on a Cruise on May 20 that leaves from Barcelona. We are taking a taxi from the train station to the port.

The Barcelona airport is quite close to the city. Its only a 15 -20 minute ride from center city. I cannot tell you if there is a bus to the port. Nor can I tell you the cost of a taxi but I cannot imagine it to be that costly. I believe the bus fare from the airport to Placa de Catalunya was somewhere in the neighborhood of Six US dollars. There is also a train to the airport but the Santa Estacio Station is not convenient to the Port. <BR> <BR>Michael <BR> <BR>If at all possible...stay in town before leaving. Barcelona is so charming. You will be missing a terrific town.

I agree with the previous post. Don't just drive to the airport, if you can, spend a few days in Barcelona. That is indeed the best part of the trip!
