Hotel In Rome For Under 125 Euros?
Hi,
My husband and I are planning a trip to Rome during the holidays this year.
Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in the Piazza Navona, Pantheon, or Campo dei Fiori area for under 125 euros/night?
I've searched many of the reviews on Tripadvisor, but it's so overwhelming and I haven't really come up with anything good yet.
Thanks in advance!
Tara

I've stayed at Residenza San Pantaleo several times. It's in your price range, and has a fabulous location, just off the south end of Piazza Navona. It's simple, clean, but you get breakfast and an outstanding location.

Hi,
You have listed the classic historic areas in Rome to stay. You may have a hard time finding this price at the holidays, however. Also many people are booking Christmas trips right now. You aren't late but you aren't early either.
Even the Alimandi, where our family has gone more than once, is a little beyond your reach. (If you have some wiggle room in your budget, AND are going to Mass at St. Peter's consider it. Directly across from the entrance to the Vatican Museums, the Alimandi is 170E double a night.)
Another option: You could stay at a convent. They rent double rooms, but are more basic in their amenities. Some have curfews. This website has links to several of them.

There are several good trip reports on this board about Italy at Christmas. Do a search. Good luck!

This B&B is in Trastevere just outside of the area you are describing and many say the best area to stay in Rome.
I have not yet stayed here (going this september) but came with many high recommendations and their max price for a double is 135 euro, our's is 120 euro/night in September.

Hi tarajane, I did stayed in Arco del Lauro, I highly recommend it. Go to Trip Advisor and you can read about it, it is one of the top in the list of better b&b.
great location in the Trastevere walking distance to Piazza Navona,Pantheon and Campo dei Fiori. It self the Trasvere is a very nice place to visit. Good luck.

Check out some of the hotels & B&B's on eurocheapo.com...I was amazed at some of the low prices. You can search by area too. If you see something you like, I'd then cross check reviews on Tripadvisor.
