Germany, Austria, Venice

October trip, 18 days Germany (Romantic Road), Munich, Salzburg, Venice, then end up in lower Allgau area.<BR><BR>We went to Hawaii last November so Honey said we can go if I will keep a "budget" attitude." <BR><BR>Any suggestions on B&B's? car rental out of Frankfurt (4 adults)? must see sights? Has anyone stayed overnight in a monastery? <BR><BR>I'd appreciate ANY suggestions or comments.<BR>THANKS!

Don't use Priceline.com, that's for sure.<BR><BR>I "bid" $80/night for a *** hotel in Vienna and they booked me in a $60/night hotel and refused to refund the difference.<BR><BR>major rip off!

I don't think you'll get to many replies. Where your going is well documented. Hit the search. The information is all there. Get a travel book. IMO Rick Steves is the least confusing and He has some very good information for where your traveling.

Residenz<BR><BR>Suggest you buy a good guide book and look up each of these to see if they meet your needs.<BR><BR>US

Thank you for your responses. Yes, I agree this is a well documented route, and we always go with guide books. But, drawing from our experience in travel, there are always places and things to see that can only be found by recommendations from other travelers who "happened upon" an otherwise overlooked "gem".<BR>
