those online discounts are sold in limited numbers and often sell out before the day of the train. Do not think you can buy them at stations only online - if you want one jump on it or you will often never see it again for that train.

In any case for two folks the Bavarian Ticket will be about 29 euros cheaper but you will take about an hour or so longer.
