There is a popular chain called "Blue Ice." Some people love it; others don't. (We liked it.) Anyway, their web site is
www.blueicecream.it .
The site is in Italian, but maybe you can find an email address to ask your question.

Hello kasam4m, I looked for it all over centro storico Rome this June, and just like Missypie's website there was no "senza zucchero" gelato that I found. I hope you can tolerate a piccolo with sugar now and then. Gianni

kasam, I was wondering this myself. I have been to Italy several times, and definitely have eaten more than my fair share of gelato, but since then I have found out that I have an intollerance to several sugars (such as fructose), and will have to forfeit gelato on all future trips to Italy unless I can find some that is sugar free.
