G'chldrn & I TUVM for help

Thanks to all for your great help in planning for me & my 3 grandgirls on our Thanksgiving trip to Paris. Got the parental permission, took taxi vs metro to & from CDG for our number and more. I had the best time just watching them. Fantastic...
TUVM.. ghb

This is an interesting post. I just checked it out to see what it could be about, but I still have no idea.

LKEIIIVOW and UYTTTCGGEWQLMHHK. Don't you think so?

I'll go out on a limb and assume that
TUVM = Thank U Very Much

How about a trip report, GHB?

LOL, I enjoyed trying to figure it out, we won't discuss some of the ideas that I had for whatever TUVM might mean

Could we have a trip report ghb? I would love to hear about taking 2 grandgirls to Paris! It must have been super!

Well, I must admit that it took me quite a while to figure it out too.

SFMSFF.

(Sorry for my stupidity, fellow Fodorites.)

Trip report on grandchildren,,, Sorry about acronyms and abbreviations,, they have been used in my business for more than 40(forty) years.
Profile; ghb is 67 years old, grandchildren are 16,16 and 14. I required them to write a sentence on each of the Paris mayors' visitors noted sites. We decided from these comments the priority of each site. This is highly recommended.
We took taxi to Paris from CDG. We checked in the Citadine apart'hotel near the Louvre. Immediately started our quest to catch the highlights. We had small breakfast at hotel each morn then off to the sites via metro. In the end we visited the usual suspects. Lunch at various bistros and terrace restaurants about 2 or 3 each afternoon. Of course we had to partake of chocolat crepes daily. We did one-halfday at Versaille. We were there over thanksgiving so I had packed turkey, cranberry sauce and Dr Peppers for the occasion. I think the shopping was disappointing for them. but then I wasn't much help here. The most fun for me was to watch the girls take in the unique Paris culture. I hope they never forget it. I have 5 more g'girls to go.
T(hank) U(you) V(ery) M(uch) for your help.

What I'd like to know is whether or not anyone asked you whether or not you had "permission" to take the children? There was a lot of posting about the documentation on something like this a few weeks ago which had the most varied and incorrect information about the "requirements" the "documentation" and so forth I've ever seen.
So, what actually happened? Did any officials ask? Did anyone care?
Glad you had a great trip.

JonJon. actually no one asked to see my authorization but from the State dept comments I decided to get notarized statements to be safe.

ghb, Congratuations on being a super-Grandma! Sounds like an unforgettable trip. For the record, it took me about 5 seconds to figure out TUVM.
