I have received an e-mail confirmation for a reservation on 8/7 from gasthof fraundorfer, with a request for my cc number to hold the reservation.
I filled out the form on their web site with the requested information, and asked for confirmation that they received it.
I have not gotten a reply and I have sent an e-mail everyday since 8/7.
Should I cancel, and let my cc co know?
Should I wait a few more days?
I would really like to stay there and I don't understand why they are not responding to my requests for confirmation that they recieved my information. In the past they have responed very quickly.

Hi lvk,

Many small hotels in Europe do not treat email the way we do in the US - they tend to ignore it.

My guess is, that having received your CC info, they think everything is OK and there is no need to respond to you.

I suggest Faxing or phoning them.

I booked 2 hotels in Germany not long ago and had to ask them for confirmation. Just call and ask them to send you a confirmation by e-mail. I'm sure they'd have your reservation.

Wouldn't you want to know the price in Euro?

The price in USD would depend on the room, how many nights, how many people, the season, and the exchange rate. The exchange rate varies daily so you'll have a different price every day.

What does it say on their web site---the $ is about 1.42 right now, so 100E = $142
