I leave in two days, my dh is in London and we are going to Paris for Christmas, NYE in London....he says it is really cold there...I am thinking of wearing my fur, which I have just about retired. But it is so warm and what is a girl to do, let it hang in closet....just don't want any remarks from sa people.

Hmmm... Paris, London... What are you waiting for? If you can't wear fur in those places, you may as well give it to goodwill or let your dog use it as a bed.

Have a wonderful trip!

I like your attitude, I have taken it out and put it back a couple of times today, six years ago I moved to the desert southwest and it just hangs.

Thank you

You might get remarks in London - I've been challenged for wearing fake fur before (I did tell them it was fake, they didn't believe me).

I think wearing fur is more acceptable in Paris. It's certainly fine once you get to Austria, Hungary etc - basically the places that get cold enough to need it.

Fur is also extremely acceptable in Italy. I think whether you want to wear it or not in London depends on your confidence.

My daughter has a vintage coat with a fur collar that she loves to wear. She wore it past a local anti-fur demonstration (not purposefully) and they started remonstrating with her. She then pointed out she was a vegetarian, and were they? (No.) But this didn't bother her at all, whereas it would have shaken me up. She doesn't see any point in wasting fur that already exists.
