Fun with Sonia

Emma Clarke, who recorded many of the announcements on the London Tube (and is therefore known as Sonia, because she "getS ON YER nerves&quot, has also placed some "alternative" announcements on her website:

I'm a senior Human Resource Professional and I think the dismissal of Emma Clarke is a classic example of all that is wrong with our current culture of "Political Correctness". Her spoof announcements may not have been exactly wise, but have they seriously offended anyone? No; except for the narrow minds that think they have to be the monitors of what they, in their self-righteous wisdom, think might offend, but usually doesn't.

My advice to them? Get a life you peasants. (with apologies to real peasants everywhere); learn the difference between acceptable humour and unacceptable insensitivity; then look in the mirror and see what it is you are practising.

I read about that earlier today and I was shocked that she was fired for something that seems so harmless.
