From Zurich to Paris

Hi guys. My plane, Qatar Airways will arrived at 2.00 pm. I'm planning to fly directly to Paris on the same day. How long is the best estimated time gap before I catch another flight to Paris? Swiss Air has departure time at 7.00 pm. So I have about 5 hours time gap. DO I have enough time?

How about the alternative transportation which is by train? There is 5.50 pm train to depart from Zurich HB to Paris. I'm wonder if I have enough time to catch the train.

I would think 5 hours is certainly more than enough time, I wouldn't worry about that. The train station is right at the airport so efficient in that way, but that would take you longer to get to Paris, so I'd book the flight. Your flight will arrive in the area they call arrival 2.

Air France has flights to Paris from the same area in Zurich airport that leave around 6 pm, but the Swiss Air flights leave from a different area.

If I were you, I'd choose a 6 pm flight on Air France, if possible, unless you have a good reason to choose Swiss Air (price or partners). That still gives you four hours.

Thanx michael and christina...my greatest concern is I don't have enough time to catch the next flight or train with 4 hours time gap since the next train and air france depart @ 5.50 pm. I also need to book flight ticket/train in advance to Paris in order to get cheaper price ticket and really worried if the qatar airways suddenly delayed and I'll late arrived in Zurich and unable to catch the flight/train

My friends in Zürich always take the train rather than flying. They are also able to get extremely cheap fares by changing train in Basel, since you can book a French train from there at discounted rates through www.voyages-sncf.com
