From Termini to Lepanto- how do I do it?
OK- i have some confusing directions on how to get from the Fiumicino to the Lepanto metro station in Rome. Since we have to walk for some of the way I want to be sure of what I need to do & figured I might be able to get more clear directions if I asked one of you.
This is what I have...
-Take the Leonardo Express from the airport which will take me directly to Termini.
-Change to Metro line A. I'm a little confused here as I THINK we have a little ways to walk from where we get off at Termini to get to Metro line A
-once we get on Metro A- we get off at Lepanto. Now, will it be very obvious to us where exactly the Lepanto stop is? How will we know when to get off?
- from there I'm pretty clear as to where we need to walk to get to our hotel.
I just need to know where we go when we get off at Termini to get to Metro A & then how will we know when we are at the Lepanto stop? Sorry- I'm torturing you with these questions but I don't live in a city where there is a subway/metro anything. I don't even know if I have ever taken a city bus! I'm not scared of getting lost I just don't want to do it when we have luggage we are lugging around.

Termini is failry lage but don't be too anxious about that, it is also fairly well marked. Language will not be a problem. The airport trains come in on a track at the far end - follow the crowds into the main area - you should then see the signs to the Metro. As you head into the Metro system area of Termini you will see maps of the system. You can see how many stops after you board the until the Lepanto stop. I can't remember if there is a lightup map inside the subway cars but there are posted maps. Also as you pull into the stations the names will be visable in several places in the station area. Someone on this board may well post a link so you can look it over beforehand!
