Hi UN,

Please be a little more specific as to the location of your villa.

Here's a somewhat generic answer: spend a half day in Orvieto, and a full day in Assisi.

I'm assuming that you will want to more "day-trip" exploring in Tuscany itself, during your villa stay.

Best wishes,

Rex

We have 2- 3 days to explore and enjoy as we drive to our villa from Rome. I have done the A1 to local roads through Montepulciana, Pienza, San Antimo, Sienna route. I need suggestions that offer another route maybe a visit to a coastal village oran abby or great little village that is off the beaten path or just neat B&B', restaurants..etc.
thanks

I haven't a map in front of me, but I think you could go up the coast and hit Tarquinia for the Etruscan museum and necropolis.

There has been a fair amount of talk recently about Pitigliano and the smaller places near it, but I don't know how that would fit in.
