From Paris to Giverny to Normandy?
Is Giverny directly on the way to Normandy? Is this a reasonable, doable idea? We will be traveling from Paris by car to Caen/Normandy. So confused! Any help is appreciated! Thanks. KatWoman

Giverny is an easy, lovely 40 minute train ride from Paris (actuially, Giverny is in Normandy), and about half way to Rouen. I'm not sure how long it would take in the car, but the train wasa not a TGV.
Giverny is so lovely, I totally recommend it. While you're there, be sure to check out the gardens behind the Vieux Hôtel Baudy just down the road. They are also lovely in their own way, and far less crowded.

Giverny is maybe a little over an hour outside of Paris by car. It is very much on your way to Caen. You will get off the main highway for a short distance to go to Giverny, but can then easily return to it for trip to Caen. Rouen is actually out of your way if you are going directly to Caen. Normandy is a large area.

Egad! You're leaving for France in a couple of days and you're here asking where Giverny is? I suggest the first thing you do tomorrow is go buy a map of France and start doing a little planning.
I'd also suggest you go to mapquest or michelin and start getting some routes and ideas of distances and times. It really is easy and you will enjoy your trip ever so much more if you do just a wee bit of planning.

Actually our trip is well planned out. My thought to try to fit in Giverny was a last minute one at best. I asked the question spur of the moment without making the effort to look it up myself. People are always so helpful here and it just seemed easier to ask and then look for myself when I had a chance.
Thanks for all the wonderful responses. My husband is going over the map now.
