From Gatwick to Heathrow
It's not my choice, but I must get from Gatwick in London to Heathrow for the second leg of flight to Los Angeles. Anyone have a suggestion regarding best route and mode? Thanx for the help.

True - this is asked about every 3 or 4 days. But unfortunately th esearch function isn'r the best.
There really isn't a "best route and mode" - there is really only one practical way to to it. Take the airporter coach that connects the two airports. Aby other option will either take a lot longer, is more complicated, or costs a LOT more.
You need to allow a minimum of 3.5 hours if you don't check luggage and about 4.5 hours if you do. This includes time for immigration at the LGW end and security/check-in at the LHR end.
