French/Spanish Border
Hi,
We are looking to visit the French/Spanish border area for the last 2 weeks of September. It looks both exciting & remote!
How will the weather be there at the 2nd half of Sept.? Also, any must see recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks,
Pete & Wendy

The weather will be starting to become autumnal. Probably similar to the Jersey shore, even though it's further north. And it depends on whether you mean the Mediterranean coast, the Atlantic coast, or the high Pyrenees.
For specific cities (Biarritz, Perpignan, Andorra, for example) see www.worldclimate.com or www.weatherbase.com
Here are two must see recommendation(s), on opposite ends of the border: the Chillida "museum" outside San Sebastian.. or the town of Seu d'Urgell. In Frnce, there are always many nice things about Collioure as well.
Best wishes,
Rex

We have a place just about 30 miles north of the Border, and having been there at that time of the year I think you can expect low 70s.
Where on the 300 mile length of the border were you expecting to stay?

Thank you both for your kind responses.
Rex--we actually live very close to the Jersey shore; which, as you know, can be quite nice throughout Sept. So that is encouraging. And yes, I understand that shore weather can be vastly different from mountain weather.
Sheila, if we get there we will probably explore as much as we can. We have been to Europe many, many times and tend to look for places that are a bit forgotten.
Usually we have the 1st nite or two booked in advance and then just "wing it" from there! We travel very light---no checked lugage allowed!!
Thanks again,
Pete
