sure, I've been to several and they were all good. But it really depends on your time frame and what you are expecting. You can't beat a university like the Sorbonne or l'Institut Catholique de Paris, I've attended both and both were good. But their programs for French for foreigners is in the summer months. There are plenty of private schools all year some expats use them. I did attend one once for a few weeks on a vacation for a special class but I think it has changed names. It is this one

Haven't been there in years. Of course there is always Alliance Francaise, it should be good enough and will certainly be a known name. http://www.alliancefr.org/en

They claim it is the "most prestigious" language school in Paris which I think is hyberbole as I doubt if it is more prestigious than the Sorbonne. Maybe they would claim the Sorbonne isn't just a language school, which is true but still. ANyway, it is a well-respected name.

Thanks Christina; I found what I was looking for! A small school in the 11th, Langue Appart'. The atmosphere is great, small groups, lively and communicative class! Perfect!

Christina--The ICP does (did) have French courses all year long. Our DD did the summer program there, but had the option of going fall or spring term as well. This was in 2011, so not sure if it has changed or not, but that was what they offered at the time.
