Hi Beth,<BR><BR>Two thoughts:<BR><BR>For B&Bs, try www.travelengland.org.uk/<BR>You can search by town/village and then get a list with links to phone numbers, websites, etc. Very helpful.<BR><BR>Definitely price out your train trips. I did, and it was cheaper for me to buy individual tickets than the Britrail pass. However, if you are going long distances, it might be worth it. For winter travel, buy the pass at www.britrail.com, because if you go to "Promotions" they sell them for 25% for winter travel. I didn't see this discount at other websites. Good luck!

Hi Beth! Your trip sounds great! I wanted to put in my two cents worth and reassure you about the weather. We're from Seattle and now live here in Germany (near the French and Luxembourg borders). The weather's very much like home, although the potential for it to be a little colder is there. February is the time I look outside and wonder if my thermometer is stuck in the 40's, just like the home. Actually, you will probably encounter less rain than Seattle at that time. Make sure you head off to REI first (I miss that place!)and pack your fleece jacket, a hat and gortex. Other than that you'll be just fine. <BR>Have a great trip!
