Free Concert of English Folk in Trafalgar sq on St George's Day

Yes. Boris has finally started to undo the PC bollocks of Ken and finally in the capital of England we can actually have a show of our own music.

Here's the line-up:

SETH LAKEMAN
ELIZA CARTHY
JIM MORAY
BISHI
NETSAYI
THE DEMON BARBERS
KATHRYN & PETER TICKELL

Starts at 2.30.

Oh, and before you ask, St George's day is 23rd April (it's also Shakespeare's birthday and the day he died on).

Seth Lakeman is brilliant. Eliza Carthy is the daughter of Martin Carthy and Norma Waterstone (really, if you have to ask...). Jim Moray is a fabulous scottish artist. The demon Barbers are a good band to get bladdered to and Katheryn Tickell is the worlds best player of the Northumbrian pipes (not a hotly contested field, I'll grant you).

See you there?

Sounds great C_W. Especially Eliza Carthy.
Wish I could be there. Have fun.

Glad to see it's an equal opportunity free concert for England's Patron saint, with a Scotsman playing too.

Typical, can't even celebrate St George's day on the day.
It still sounds fun though. But I shall be on a flight to Portland then

Don't miss Bishi- she's fantastic. She'll be the one in a bright dress playing the sitar like an electric guitar.
