Frederiksborg castle
My parents and are taking a Scandinavian cruise next July and are leaving out of Copenhagen. We are leaving a day before our cruise to actually see the city and would like to visit the castle the next day before we get on our boat at 5:00 pm (17:00). Do you think we have enough time to see the castle and where can we store our luggage? Thanks!

Yes, there are frequent trains to Frederiksborg from the Copenhagen main train station (the castle is near the Hillerod station), and they have lockers and luggage storage at the station. The castle is open from 10:00-17:00, but you can visit the extensive ground before opening. It is my favorite castle!

We loved visiting Frederiksborg. We were pretty 'castled out' by this point in our journey. Didn't even go inside the castle but roamed the grounds for many hours. There are lovely winding paths through the trees with small streams and ponds, in addition to formal gardens...just beautiful.
