Frankfurt transit pass?

Can someone tell me if I can buy a 3-, 5-, or 7-day transit pass at the FF airport that will cover my s-bahn, u-bahn, tram and bus travel in the city?

How much do they cost?

TIA!

You can buy all transit tickets (as far as available) anywhere in the RMV area.

However 3- and 5-day tickets are not very usual in Germany.

Frankfurt airport is outside the Frankfurt city limits, so buying a pass including the airport would be more expensive than one just for Frankfurt. A pass for one day just for Frankfurt costs 5.60 Euro. A single fare from Frankfurt to the airport is 3.30, I think.

Best buy a dsingle from ther airport and then look at one of the machines in Frankfurt for daily passes.

You can also buy a Frankfurter Tageskarte (Frankfurt Card) from either of the city’s tourist offices, or offices in the train stations, e.g. the Regional Bahnhof at the Airport. These cards allow unlimited travel anywhere within the greater Frankfurt area, plus transport on the shuttle bus going to and from the airport, plus half-price admission to any of the city’s museums. The cost in 2007 was 7.80€ ($9.75) for a 1-day card and 12€ ($15) for a 2-day card.

I was staying at the Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel & Towers (at the airport), and I bought a 1-day card. It was very simple to take the train into Frankfurt, make transfers and return.

Travel with the central downtown region (zone 50) and to and from the airport (zone 5090) is a Preisstufe (price level) 3 tickets. A one week ticket Wochenkarte) for PS3 for a single adult is €20,60. You should be able to get one at the airport.

Go to www.rmv.de > Tickets > Preislisten & Regionalmatrix > Preislisten.
