How do i get from Frankfurt (Hahn) to Frankfurt International Airport?

Anyone knows of any bus/train transfer from Frankfurt(Hahn) to Frankfurt Mainz Airport? I will be taking a flight that lands in Frankfurt(Hahn) at 19:25 and needs to catch another flight from Frankfurt Main International departing at 23:55. I read from some sites that it takes about 1 1/2 hrs to get from the domestic airport to the intl one. Really afraid that i will miss my international flight now.

As far as I know, for every airport that Ryanair serves, there is connecting ground transportation info listed. Click on "Destinations". For Frankfurt Hahn, it will take you, specifically to

http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/dests.php?loc=HHN

...which will lead you, in turn to...

http://www.bohr-omnibusse.de/en/serv...x=9&senden.y=5

...where you will see that there is service from Hahn, departing 20:15 and arriving Frankfurt (am Main) International Airport at 21:45. I think you will be okay.

Best wishes,

Rex

There's a bus that departs 20:15 and arrives FRA 21:45. You might be okay:

For an international flight, though, and the possibility of having to pay a one-way walkup fare if it's missed, I'd not want this schedule. What are your options for arriving earlier in Frankfurt? Even if they're expensive, consider the cost of missing the international flight.

Where are you flying in from? and which airline, if it is ryanair, which i suspect it is, then i would seriously consider dumping the ticket and choosing another carrier, after all it could prove to be far more costly if you miss the connection, Here you will find the airlines that go to Frankfurt am Main

Hi Dessie,
its a little bit confusing, but Frankfurt/Hahn has nothing to do with Frankfurt-Airport. Hahn is a former US Airbase, situated in Hunsrueck around 60 miles or so away from Frankfurt. Thats the reason it takes 1 1/2 hours to go. On Frankfurt-Airport it takes just a few minutes from Domestic to International if you are leaving out of Terminal 1. To Terminal 2 its also a short ride by shuttle train.

it sure would avoid confusion if

1) people would look on a map and find out the geography of where they are going and buying tickets to/from

AND 2) they take the word Frankfurt out of HHN and just call it Hahn or the Mosel airport or something.

i think it does no good to have the name "frankfurt" before "Hahn", as it implies it might be nearby, and can cause such trouble for unsuspecting travellers.

i sure hope she makes her flight.

This should be a note of caution to us all to check out where these "new" airports are, as they will be coming up all the time with so many new routes.

If the OP is interested in primarily a budget airline (Ryanair) flight, another option is to fly into Baden-Baden. The airport is close to town, ample regular bus service to the train station and from there (actually in Baden Oos), there is frequent train service to Frankfurt (city) and the "real" Frankfurt airport.
Given the relative isolation of Hahn and lack of EASY public transportation access, it makes a lot more sense IMO to flying in BB instead of Hahn when traveling by Ryanair.
The "Frankfurt Hahn" name is pretty misleading. Agree that Mosel-Hahn makes a lot more sense.
