Frankfurt ariports

I know Frankfurt-Hahn airport is not actually in Frankfurt, but how far is it? More importantly, how far from the Frankfurt-Main airport? I'm trying to figure out if it would be too hard to go from one to the other - even if the next day. can't seem to find any details...

http://www.bohr-omnibusse.de/Airport...nFrankfurt.htm

The bus takes 1:30 from HNH to FRA, and then another 15 minutes to Frankfurt Hbf.

Not only is PalenqueBob totally right, but HNH is actually closer to three countries than Frankurt.

Using Google Earth to measure distance, HNH is about 35 miles from Luxembourg, 47 miles from France and 48 miles from Belgium. It's about 65 miles from Frankfurt. Netherlands is about 78 miles away.

Hahn is basically in the middle of the German Mosel so great for a tourist visit there. Buses run to the City from the small car park area outside

Wonder why they insist on calling it Frankfurt Hahn when it's so much closer to many sizeable cities?

To fool the public?

if you want to turn this into an added vacation day as mentioned, it is a beautiful area. then head to f.main

you can go to bernkastel, which is not very far and i believe well connected from hahn by bus/train.

or get yoursefl a car and travel the mosel for a day. you won´t be disappointed.

i also agree they should take the frankfurt out of hahn.

> i also agree they should take the frankfurt out of hahn.

I seem to recall that Lufthansa sued Ryanair (or maybe the HHN airport authority) to get them to stop calling it Frankfurt and lost. I've done Frankfurt-Hahn a few times and it's not that bad. The bus is a tour type bus so it's reasonably comfortable and the drive did spend some time in the countryside.
