Frankfurt airport luggage storage

Hi. I have a question for someone familiar with the FRA luggage storage. I will be flying into Paris where I will be for 5 days and then taking the train to Frankfurt for five days of business. I will leave Frankfurt and fly to Marseille for a short 3-day visit. I would like to store my large piece of luggage at the Frankfurt airport while I take a small carry-on to Marseille and return to Frankfurt for my trip home. I've looked at the luggage storage information for FRA and it mentions taking your bag through security where it is placed in a white bag for storage. The bag I want to store will have large size liquids--shampoo, hair products etc. How will I get through security with these liquids? Will they be allowed knowing that the bag will be stored and not taken aboard as a carry-on? Thanks for any help you can offer!

Welcome to Fodors. I have never left bags at FRA but have at other airports -- LHR & CDG -- and liquids are allowed w/ no issues. The website says
  • Have your items placed in white bags at the security checkpoint.
  • You can now store the items in the luggage storage for a fee.
  • After your trip, you can either collect the items yourself or have them sent to you after consultation.
It doesn't say it has to clear through as hand luggage and liquids aren't allowed.

AFAIK left luggage is scanned at just about every airport anywhere. They don't scan it for items prohibited in cabin bags but for things like explosives and sometimes narcotics just as bags checked on to aircraft are -- Checked luggage are all scanned too and liquids are not a problem.
