Amazing! Thanks Grinisa. I really appreciate it.

We actually saw the The Turtles (Flo and Eddie still live, baby!) last summer with our friends Kim and Mary (who helped me put the wrong gas in the car a couple of years ago in Italy). I thought it would be fun to have this song on when they arrived for dinner tomorrow.

It is times like these that I don't know how I lived before the internet. Grinisa, just out of curiosity, how did you know about this song and how it related to the show. Interesting tidbit.

maitaitom, for the last couple of weeks since watching the show, my husband and I have been saying that we need to find some of the music used in the soundtrack. We particularly liked the "Elenore" song so I Googled "italian cover turtles eleanor" and found this website:
http://sicilyscene.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html which mentions the song. I ordered the cd. Can you get the song by tomorrow? Hope your friend enjoys it.

Find a Borders Book and Music store and browse the "World Music" section for the "Italy" section. You'll find a good selection of vintage and current Italian artists and bands. You may be able to find the soundtrack to Franceso's program, too; or the store could order it for you.

I believe the last song, played when he reunited with his family, was the theme from Cinema Paradiso by Ennio Morricone.

There are 2 books by Francesco that complement the BBC program, both which currently can be gotten through Amazon UK. If you're willing to wait until May, it'll be released in the US, at least the soft covered book.

Grinisa,

I got the song. It is loaded on my I-Tunes, and our friends will be here within the hour. Grazie!
