I believe that is time for Zidane to quit whining and accept that what he did was wrong.
He is not a Saint and I imagine that during his career he tackled, pushed, kicked and insulted others players also.
The game is over and life goes onand Yesterday is Forever Gone.

What Zidane did pales in comparison to some of the shameful thug brawls in other sports. I remember two "college" football games in particular. When Maryland defeated Clemson on Clemson's home turf in the mid-80s on a last second field goal, Clemson players were swinging their helmets by the chin strap at Maryland players. A decade or so ago, the Miami and Texas football teams rioted at the Cotton Bowl. In hockey, one memorable brawl in a Stanley Cup playoff match between Montreal and Quebec in the mid-80s lasted about a half-hour and made a national name of one Dale Hunter, Quebec's captain.
