Wombat, you have to accept this sort of question from time to time, because I think that absolutely all of us have at one time or another asked a question that was so naive that everybody's jaws dropped.

How about, "Will paople laugh at me if I wear jeans and sneakers as I drive on the left in France?"

Wombat7: I'm landing at Heathrow and have to go to the Hotel Of Last Resort - what type of transport do you recommend. Oyster Card? Thanks

PalQ - nice one! Just be careful on that Tube into London though - you know that they always use the doors on the right - even when the platform is on the left.

"I understand the swedes changed over county by county over a 2 week period."

Uh, no. Switching everyone at once was chaotic enough, without phasing it in geographically.

Robespierre

Now I was around in 67 and I think Wiki is just trying to make it sound reasonably organised...

Still I went to the olympic park in Toronto and the presentation there claims that the short mast over the main stadium was designed that short as a demonstration of flair where as I remember that the workers went on strike for months and the job was a lash up

My brother was a Foreign Service Officer in Stockholm on the day, and I asked him if they transitioned counties individually. He said no. (Actually, his exact words were "Are you nuts?&quot

Josser - quite a walk from your hotel. Buckingham is about six miles southwest of Milton Keynes - train there in about an hour from Kings X - not far from Liverpool Street.
