FRANCE---2015
France for my 80th BD. We had to change villas as I found out the villa in San Remo was for sale and our deposit was returned.
But this villa in Nice is lovely and the location is much better, especially to the airport.
The villa can accommodate 16 people and has 7 bedrooms, 6 baths.
Has a great view looking out over Nice and the sea.
We love the area and have been here a few times.
Two years and counting, can't wait.
My daughters 15th anniversary, both granddaughter's, my sister, my SIL'S two kids along with significant others, makes this a very special trip.

Awesome way to celebrate. I thought I was the only one to plan things really early. Celebrating my mom's 60th and my 40th next year in France as well. Actually I'll be celebrating on a plane but will be winging my way to France.

Thanks everyone; These two years will go by much faster for us than others. But, everyone is excited.
While we have been to many towns in the vicinity of Nice, we have never been to San Remo.
Would that be a good day trip. Say rather than Monaco, a place we do not need to visit again.
It's going to be fun as usual planning visits.
We never got to St Tropez on our last visit to the area. They had had massive wild fires leading to the town. We were on our way but the traffic was stop and go-not sure why, but we turned around and headed to Nice. We had come from St Remy.
So that's a must.
OK, the fun begins.

Just topping this thread.
As of today, have the seven bedrooms filled with family [11] and [3] friends.
The new year starts out in a very positive tone and it's now only 1 1/2 years away.
I have a thread ongoing to find our apartment in Paris.
This will be an exciting year getting everything organized.
We will be taking a train from Paris to Nice and have bookmarked a thread today with information.
Can't wait. LOL

Planning is more than half the fun! We will be spending my 40th and my mom's 60th in France this June. Beyond excited but need to find somewhere for my birthday dinner in Bordeaux that won't break the budget.

Iris - when will you be in France?? I assume you already have my Provence/Cote d'Azur itinerary.

In Bordeaux, we had a very nice & relaxing dinner at L'Alhambra. We dine out in France about 30-40 times each year.

We'll be in Paris for 2 weeks in Sept '15 - that's why I asked.
We'll be in Nice for 2 weeks this year at the start of June. Look for updates to my Cote d'Azur/Provence itinerary in fall of this year.
