For those who are in France now and especially this week end

Don't forget the time is changing tonight and you'll get an extra hour sleep
It might be important if you have to catch an early train or flight...

Happy travels!

Dearest Coco, I am not in France but rather in California. But I forgot that the time changes here this weekend also which would have been a problem as I will be out of town at various social functions. Thank you for the reminder..all the way from France! Best regards.

Time changes this weekend > officially Sunday 3am becomes 2am, NOT ONLY in France but in most European (at least western) countries. Don't they do that in UK too this weekend?

Coco, this reminded me of our trip in 1998. After the language school in VSM, we rented a car. After showing Tom around Côte d'Azur (He came after the course), we drove up north. We did not see anything to remind us of the DST. It was a whole day before we found out that we were off by an hour. No damage done since we did not have to be on time any where and no plane/train to catch.

I'm technically in France, but the French Caribbean. No daylight saving. Boringly enough the sun sets and rises at six every day.

Poor James!

Here in Switzerland, we had temperatures of 27 C this week. We might get snow next week. But we will definitely turn back our clocks tonight.

St Barthélemy: 30 degrees, light clouds, cool north easterly breeze, the tourists are starting to arrive, and all is well with the world.

Off to the beach for a glass of rosé under the palms, a good weekend to all.
