For those interested in Vincent van Gogh

A new museum has opened in Nuenen, Noord Brabant.
Van Gogh lived in this village for two years from 1883.

It looks like an interesting place for a day trip, perhaps combined with a visit to Zundert - his birthplace.

For great collection of Van Goghs (2nd only to Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam) also try the Kroller-Muller Museum near Otterlo. In beautiful national park where you can take free cycles to ride around.

bellini, I agree, the Kroller-Muller is a great museum. While in Apeldoorn also check out the former royal palace, Het Loo, beautiful grounds, beautiful interiors. Each requires 4 or 5 hours, so overnight in Apeldoorn, the museum and palace are each reached by a bus out of Apeldoorn.

hetismij, Thanks for the info, I just love Van Gogh's. What is the easiest way to get to Nuenen from Amsterdam?
