For Girls Only: Sock question.

Seriously, has anyone found a mid-weight knee or anklet sock in dark colors that does not have an uncomfortable seam ridge across the top of the toes for less than $7 a pair?? I found a wonderfully comfortable pair of shoes for all of the walking that I will be doing next month, but the seams on the new socks are so uncomfortable. Thanks for any tips!

Try Gold Toe sox. Really great! I think they're under $7 a pair....

Try www.vermontcountrystore.com where there are three or more varieties of knee/ankle high socks that are available in black and/or navy for less than $7.00/pair. I'm not sure about the toe seams, but you could call and ask. I have lots of gold toe, but those seams are annoying in some shoes.

In Australia, "RED ROBIN" make a sock for Diabetics.
They are extremely comfortable, no seams, no tight elastic at the top and cost about $10AUD, which is about 50 cents US!! (only joking and bitter)
ask at your local pharmacy for something similiar. They come in a range of colours, cotton, wool or a mix of both. I wear them with my riding boots and they are excelllent.

Toe seams are one of my major peeves, also. For dark socks I've had good luck with DKNY and SOME Gold Toes (check carefully!) -- each about $6/pair. For white socks, Target sells an incredibly smooth sock in multi-packs; wearing a pair right now.
Hello, Girl! Gold Toe is having their annual sale right now - all socks 25% off. Good time to buy. Marie

I like the Banana Republic variety. Not noticible seams and not too bulky to wear under shoes and well as some very "sophisticated" ribbing that looks so 'european'
