Foodies
I've said often enough on this board that I'm not a "foodie". Most of the time I'll stop and eat when I'm hungry in Paris- rather than search out specific restaurants.
Here's a test to tell you just how much a "foodie" you are!

PS - I did better than I expected - 7 out of 10 (and I should have known better on one of those questions).

I thought the raisin question had to be a trick question - so I thought it out too much. Had NO idea on the other two I missed.
Congrats, grandmere!
(Thanks again JJBhoy for your nice comment earlier this week).

Omigod! I always fancied myself a card-carrying foodie, and I only got 5 of the 10.
Oh, how I've failed.
And I was certain the raisins were a trick question. As if any self respecting foodie would use Thomspon seedless raisins when presented with two better choices. Then again, do foodies actually make fruitcake?
;-)
Fun link.

Ha, I just did that test before I came on here. I got an 8/10. I missed the
"dab on the fly" question, and the "cochineal" question. I am never eating pink icing again.
Wow grandmere and sfwoler, I am impressed!

9 out of 10 for me, and I don't actually consider myself a foodie. (I missed zakuski.)
I know about the cochineal insects because they use them in Oaxaca to dye the yarn for rugs, shawls, etc. I never heard of them being used for food coloring!
