I've the same problem. In fact, for a while logging in just hangs.

I've found that if I delete cookies and the temporary files (I use IE and these can be done by exploring the various options) the problem seems to go away for a while.

Is there a long-term fix?

I have had problems. Particularly with chronology of posts.

Some forums takes forever to open. When posting, I have to click on "stop" and then re-post, otherwise it won't work.

Haven't been able to reply to threads for over a week. This evening I deleted all my cookies (it's only a pain in that I have to log on (on the first occasion) to those sites I frequent rather than the cookies doing so for me automatically).
As you can see this has sorted the problem for me... I'm guessing that maybe in another few months I'll have to do the same.

Are you using AOL? I can only post and reply when using Internet Explorer.

I've too have had posting problems for weeks!

I've reported it to the Fodor's techs and they're working on it, but don't know what's causing the whole "issue"

I don't have AOL

Can't believe people still use AOL. About the cludgiest provider there is, and expensive.

I use AOL and have had numerous problems accessing the Fodor's website for weeks. I was finally advised to use IE as my browser. That solved all the problems. In contacts with Fodors they have no idea what is causing the problems for AOL users.

AGAIN AND AGAIN SINCE THANKSGIVING....IT IS SO ANNOYING...WHERE THE H E L L IS THE MANAGEMENT????????

you can solve it by signing on directly to internet explorer and post that way but i find it slower, but i never loose a message...

speaking of loosing a message---at the end of last week i posted a question about venice and florence restaurants...several people responded....all of a sudden by monday it had disappeared....whats up with this....it makes me want to move on to another site...........

I think there was an internet problem this morning. I could not access some sites and had no problem with others. In calling the tech service at one site he advised me to open dos from the start run menu, then type ping, space bar, and the web site name. It returned "destination net unreachable." It cleared up in a half hour. The tech service guy reported that his site had no difficulties. It could also be a routing problem associated with your ISP. I'm using Earthlink from Michigan. Anybody else? Sometimes Earthlink gets lost.

I have tried to respond four times in the past week and I can't. I'm trying again now. Good luck to me.

Well, I followed 111op's adivce and deleted cookies, and now it's fast as lightning and I can finally post.

The only problem will be that some sites use them to help personalise what I see, so I will need to re-enter information at these sites.
