Fodor's Pop Ups/Unders

As of 2pm Friday Fodors seems to be running a pop up which freezes my computer. I'm using Netscape Navigator with the pop up blocker option enabled. Has anyone else noticed anything unusual, not that this is the first time that this has happened when logged on to Fodors. My Norton Freeze Check usually solves the problem, but not so easily today.

no, I was on Fodors at that time (still am) and encountered no popup. I don't have a popup blocker, either. There have been a few times when Fodors had banner ads across the top or something, and sometimes they cause the page loading a little problem, but rarely (like words don't appear, I need to refresh). But nothing that ever froze my computer. I don't really understand why others complain about Fodors popups and I never get any and don't do anything in particular to stop them. I wonder if they are browser related or something. I just use regular old MSIE.

I think I did see some popups on Fodors for a very brief time some months ago -- maybe a car or something.

I do sometimes get popups at Fodors when I click into "Talk" and then again when I click into the particular "Talk" area. It's a minor irritant.

It is, unfortunately, something you'll have to put up with since the bottom line here is generating revenue.

Try panicware.com. It's free and works perfectly for me. I use Netscape 7.1.

I guess I must be lucky. I don't have any sort of pop-up blocker software, yet have never had a pop up ad on Fodors. They do annoy me on some other sites, though.

I get a really annoying popup whenever I try to log in here, and also sometimes when I click on a posting on the left side, and it appears to be read on the right side.
