Regulars: (Noun) Anyone who visits this site and has the common sense not to post that the site is boring or dominated by regulars.

Don't confuse "boring" with "not personally interesting." I just did a very unscientific nose count (based on titles of threads only) and of the first 50 messages on the scroll side over 40 were "legitimate" travel questions dealing with hotels or tours or something similar. These are important questions (I hope) to the askers, but given the percentages a few other "fun" or "off-topic" threads added in doesn't seem excessive to me.

Once Fodors has the new setup debugged I imagine the search and scroll functions will go a lot faster so you won't get "bored" by having to look down the list for threads about favorite gelati moments or whether your travel agent is a doofus.

Why is it that the "regulars" who write many of the answers get blamed when people think the questions aren't interesting? Wouldn't the problem, if any, lie with the lack of new blood asking "good" questions?

OK OK!!!! Since posting the question I have been checking the site daily just to see if anyone agreed with me. As I said I REALLY have no intention of offending anyone. I use this site for info about travel and I must confess that for the past two years I have 'done' Europe (France and Spain) and each year I have and found the info MOST helpful.Even the threads that were not related to my specific trip were INTERESTING! and Yes!!! I AM in the process of going on a third trip to Europe(Italy) but this year for some reason the site is boring... at least to me... hence my question as to whether anyone ELSE found it so also. Sorry to bore you with these details but I feel that I should explain myself and hopefully not bear the brunt of some of the 'not so nice' answers of people who have taken my posting the wrong way.!!!
Ariverdecci!!! (sp?)

Agree with you Anna but then everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. Travel talk should remain just that. Like you I still enjoy the information received here but boring? YYEESSS!

Why not try searching down the list at really "old", more interesting threads, and topping them? wouldn't that be a good way to get fresh input?

Happy Travels!!
