Flying Glasgow to Verona

Hi

Decided on Lake Garda for our holiday this summer but the hotels we like aren't available through the brochures so am gonna book them direct. Am now trying to find flights - does anyone know if you can book a direct flight from Glasgow to Verona?

Thanks

Martin

On the basis of "Give a man a fish...", go to www.nonrev.net.

There aren't any scheduled flights to Verona or Brescia (which Ryanair pretends is Verona) from Scotland. But nonrev will help you find flights to Bergamo or one of the Milans from wherever in Central Scotland is most convenient for you. It's a reasonably painless couple of hours' drive from there. Or it might be easier for you to fly down to Stansted and take Ryanair to Brescia.

How about Ryanair from Glasgow Prestwick to Milan Orio al Serio airport, wherever that may be?

I'm not completely familiar with nonrev.net so I don't know if it has the same information as www.whichbudget.com .

"Milan" Orio al Serio is Bergamo.

christm,

I looked into this last year although I didn't actually follow it through.

You could fly Ryanair from Prestwick to Bergamo and then take a train from Bergamo to Verona, changing at Brescia.

The train journey takes around a couple of hours.

I tried looking using both skyscanner.net and opodo.com

The ryanair option was all that came up on skyscanner; BA through and with a change at Gatwick came up on opodo and probably more than you wanted to pay.

There doesn't seem to be any actual direct service.

Here's another possibility:

Glasgow Prestwick on Transavia to AMS and then onward on Transavia to Verona..and I mean to the actual Verona. However, the connection times in AMS are probably too tight...sorry.
