Florence/Tuscany -- car rental questions
Hi everyone,
I'm attending a wedding in Tuscany in September and will be flying in and out of Florence. I'm arriving in Florence on a Saturday morning and am planning on renting a car at the airport. Will drive to Tuscany and spend a week. I'm leaving Tuscany and will be spending 1-2 nights in Florence before flying home. Should I return the car in the airport and then head back into the city of Florence for 2 nights? If so, how far is the airport from the center of town and how much would it cost to take a train or taxi from the airport to town? Or... should I keep the car in Florence? If so, what's the parking situation like?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I agree with bobthenavigator. I don't thinks it is bad driving to the drop off in Florence...we've easily done it, but they may charge a fee for dropping off at another place and you have to contend with the hours at the office in Florence. The airport has better hours. It's only about 5 or 6 miles from the airport and the taxi will drop you right at the hotel.
