Florence hotel help for 4 people

We will be going to Florence for one night on our way to Venice. what hotel would you suggest that would accommodation 4 people. I'd like to have something nice but not expensive..near the train station. I have relied on these posting for my rome, venice and sorrento stays and hopefully, the hotels I selected are nice. So now I need your help for Florence. Thanks!

Have other posts referred you to venere.com - - it is very useful for this - - you specify the dates, and the fact that you want 1 room (assuming that this is what you mean) and 4 adults, and they will tell what hotels can offer that. And show you on a map where they are.

Don't forget that two cheap rooms is sometimes a better idea - - because it gives you TWO bathrooms.

Best wishes,

Rex

Hi,

The B&B Peterson is about a 10 min walk from the train station, in a safe residential neighborhood.

We stayed there for 11 nights.

I don't know if they have a quad room, but a dbl with shared bath is about 50E.

Actually, we are two adults and two children (10 & 13) and while my husband would not mind a separate room ..I really don't want to have my kids in another room.

I'd prefer a hotel type instead of a B & B. Thanks! Michelle

We are also a family of 4 and have decided at this point to stay at Lungarno Suites. They have a room that will accomodate 4 and I believe the suites even have a washer and dryer. The rooms have terraces and the reviews have been very favorable. Hope this helps!

Hotel Casci is a very nice 2* hotel. We stayed in their quad (1 large room with a double and 2 twin beds) in 2001. It's a very warm and friendly place. www.hotelcasci.com
