Florence - Accedemia

what is the possible wait for entrance to the Accedemia in mid-March, mid week, mid day ? would reserving tickets in advance be worth it ?

Reserve tickets are advisable. You can never say for sure what the wait will be but mid day there is always a long line. You can usually walk in within minutes if you have reservations.

Yes definitely at that time of day. We've been there later in the day, about 5pm and there was only a short queue, but in the middle of the day the queue is usually quite long. It's wonderful and well worth seeing, don't be fooled into thinking the copy in the square is a good substitute.

I too would second getting advance tickets ( you still have to wait in a short line but you just turn up a few minutes before your time slot) we actually went to the Acadameia in the late afternoon and it wasn't too crowded.
