Flights to Izmir from Nashville

Does anyone have experience flying Lufthansa from Nashville, TN to izmir, Turkey or Turkish Airlines from Atlanta to Izmir (via Istanbul). Never flown either and looking for thoughts on each and recommendations. Thanks in advance.

I've flown both Lufhansa and Turikish Airlines, but not from Nashville or to Izmir. IMO, both are decent airlines; neither is stellar (is any airline stellar these days?), but neither is anything as bad as some airlines with which I've flown. But don't take my word for it -- consult skytrax or some other airline rating site.

I’ve flown Lufthansa countless times. Never from Nashville to Ishmir, but those 2 cities are not unique to an airline experience.

I’ve always been content with LH. They are a well run airline. My flights have been on time and I’ve not lost luggage. Can’t ask for much more these days.

Deciding factors for me would be total travel time, cost, and availability of backup option in the event of issues.
