I am one of those inconsiderate louts who sleep most of the flight. . regardless of length. Once on a flight from Europe to Houston, after the "Barnyard Lunch" was served, I reclined the seat . . the lady behind ask if I could raise it because it was hurting her knees.

No problem, I compromised on about half way back and went to sleep . . got up about half way to visit the loo and noticed she had her seat completely reclined and was almost squashing the poor guy behind her ( she was about the size of Rosie Greer ) . .

Go figure . .

True story. On a flight to Paris, this complete JERK in front of me SLAMMED back his seat the minute I got my meal. I asked him to put up his seat until I could finish eating and he wouldn't. He was sitting in the bulkhead with five feet in front of him.

He kept slamming it back seemingly as if to taunt me, and being the long-legged Texan that I am, I wasn't the least bit amused.

I got up and when I returned back, he slammed it back again and by now I was flat annoyed.

He got out his laptop, and when I got my big glass of icy soda, I leaned forward and held my drink over his laptop. He said you wouldn't dare, and I said "What are you going to do, call the airplane police?" He raised his seatback and that was that. People around me clapped, including the stewardess. Go figure.

The time up until then, H*llish. The look on his face when I held that drink there? Priceless!
