Fish AND beef/pork restaurants in Norway?
We plan to be in Oslo and Bergen next spring. I know Norway means fish, but are there some restaurants in those cities that offer fare that is not 99% seafood? I'm a southern boy and that means deep fried fish which I am sure is not on many menus. Thanks.

You should have no trouble finding beef and/or pork, reindeer and lamb, too. We ate at the same fish/seafood restaurant two nights in a row while we in Bergen, but passed this popular brewery restaurant several times that offered ribs, beef tenderloin, burgers, and fish and chips:

You can read reviews for it here:

You'll also find restaurants offering a variety of ethnic cuisines, including Italian, French, and Norwegian meat dishes such as reindeer, meatballs, lamb shank, etc.

In Oslo, we enjoyed dining at a French bistro called Le Benjamin that offered fish, shellfish, pork and beef. Nice atmosphere, too.

We also ate reindeer, elk and salmon soup at the traditional Norwegian food restaurant, Elias Mat& Sant. It wasn't as good as Le Benjamin.

In Bergen, we enjoyed UNA, especially for their beer selection. We also ate at a pizza place by the harbour the night we arrived, called Peppe's which was ok.
In Oslo, we had reindeer pizza at a place called Cafe Cathedral. Very touristy, but the pizza was good. Service was not good at all, but like I said, it was very touristy. We stopped there as DS was sick and we just needed something so had no done any research.
