June will be busy in Rome, Florence and Venice. In Rome you have the benefit of it being a much bigger city so the crowds are spread out somewhat.
Florence is full of narrow winding streets with very narrow sidewalks so tends to feel more crowded than Rome. I just left Florence on Monday and it was already getting pretty busy. I was there for a week in mid March and it was pleasant, some tourists but not too bad. By the time I'd had a week in Milan and come back for four days it was noticeable that the season had started.
If there are sites you really want to see then it is a good idea to book them online before you leave home so you can avoid waiting in lines that seem two weeks long.
