First trip to Germany - what rental car agency best?
We will be driving throughout Germany, and crossing into Salzburg, Austria for 3 days, and back to Germany. Starting and ending 2 week trip in Frankfurt. What is the best rental car agency we should use that will let us cross border and back? Need for 4 adults. Thank you!

Generally there is no problem in taking a rental car from Germany to Austria. I use Autoeurope or Kemwel as brokers (sister companies) which will give you a contract ahead of time with all its inclusions and exclusions. You can cancel with no penalty up to 48 hours before the rental is due to start.

Two companies, under the same ownership, well represented in Germany are Enterprise and Alamo. Enterprise is slightly more upmarket but both are well regarded. You may pay a small surcharge for crossing the border into Austria, but will only come to a few euro a day.
