Hi, you may not realize it, but that looks like an AI bot. It would be best to watch those - they often are not feasible.
May I ask? What research have you done? I say this because that you mentioned Switzerland was non-negotiable. But later stated that Grindelwald was recommended to you. I am confused and seems as if you are only planning what others tell you should do. What do you want to see or do? Edits: I am not judging you. And, do not think anyone here was judging you and perhaps misinterpreted their intentions.

my question was about whether we need to stay in Zurich before flying out.

London for kids:
It’s easy to get around London using public transportation. The tube is very efficient but the double decker buses are more fun if you aren’t traveling far.
The Tower of London is a highlight for its bloody history and the Crown Jewels.
A tour of parliament and Westminster Abby is worth the time and money.
Take some of the “free” themed London walking tours. My kids enjoyed these. Many include the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace. My favorite was the legal walk where we saw a Victorian prison and a court house with barristers in their huge white wigs.
My son enjoyed the Thames cruise to the Royal Observatory at Greenwich and stepping over the Prime Meridian Line. (The meridian line runs through the Louvre too).
The London Dungeon is fun.
Hamley’s toy store is worth visiting. It is seven floors and the toys are available for kids to touch and play. My kids are young adults and they still love it.
Harry Potter Studio is a short day trip from London.
The coach to Oxford from Victoria station is a great day trip to see the setting of the Harry Potter Divinity School. Check opening hours first and consider a walking tour. You can visit platform 9 3/4 at King Cross Station.
A day trip to Bath by train is easy. This is one location where the hop on hop off bus is worthwhile to see the Cotswolds.

The toy store will (unfortunately!) be a big hit with my young adults as well.

thanks Michael. According to SBB timetables there is a train from luzern to Zurich airport approx every 35 minutes and the trip takes about an hour. Our flight is late in the evening. The only thing I am concerned about is the luggage after checkout. Though I was told I can use SBB luggage forwarding service.
