the trip is totally doable!! as long as you have the stamina. Anyway, you requested hotels, so here are the ones that i stayed at and recommend for your price range, they are basic places but clean and service were great as well as locations:
Madrid: http://www.hostalmarlasca.com/
E-mail: [email protected]
-loved this place, it is a true gem!
Also, i never stayed at this place but it caught my eye due to location:
http://www.hostaltijcal.com
Barcelona:
hotel-residencia rembrandt
93 318 1011
www.hostelrembrandt.com
-great location, very clean, ask for the residence building though cause they have two locations, one being a hostel and the other being an apt. style
Rome: Albergo pomezia
[email protected]
-smack in the center! although i never stayed here, it was around the block from my apt. which was in the center, nonetheless it is in a great location...
hoteltiziano.it
-more expensive but my family liked this place alot
