Texas-we LOVE the beach, so I will gladly take beach recommendations!
As of today (which means this most likely will change as I learn more!!) our rough itinerary is:
• Fly from LAX to Santorini
• (Spend about 5-6 days total on all islands) Ferry to 1-2 other islands. So far we are considering: Kea, Andros, Sifnos, Serifos, or Naxos
• (Spend about 5-6 days in Peloponnese) Ferry from islands to Peloponnese < ------ someone told me this was possible, does anyone know if we can actually do this, or will we first have to go back to Athens??
• In Peolopnnese, rent a car and see: Napflion, Mycenae, Corinth, Momnevesia, Rion Bridge, and check out beautiful beaches. Possibly see: Epidavros, Olympia, Kardamili, Kalamata
• (Spend about 2-3 days in Athens) Drive back to Athens to see all of the historical sites
• Fly out of Athens

clausar, I don't disagree at all. One of my favorite islands is Lemnos. Most foreigners haven't ever heard about it : ))) I just say that each place is different.
Faith, to be honest, on my knowledge you can connect staight to Peloponnese only sometimes through Crete-Kythira to Neapoli or Spetses to Portocheli and Kostos port and of course some of the Ionians to Killini or/and Patras on the west. I am affraid that you have to go through Athens coming from Cyclades.
Cheack very carefully ferry connections among the islands. Personaly I think Santorini plus an other island are more than enough for 5-6 days.
Depending on which your second island will be, you might be able to catch a flight back to Athens, maybe hiring a car out from the airport and head to Peloponnese straight away, depending on specifics (if this is an early morning flight, then why not...)
